About No.1 PCO Training

Topographical & SERU training for London PCO drivers

No.1 PCO Training is a Greenford-based training provider helping private hire drivers across London prepare for their TfL assessments.

Our story

Professional PCO training in London, with 10+ years of experience

No.1 PCO Training is a London training provider for drivers applying for a private hire (PCO) licence. We teach for the two assessments set by Transport for London – the Topographical assessment and the SERU (Safety, Equality and Regulatory Understanding) assessment.
For more than ten years we have been helping drivers across London get ready for test day. Our trainers bring years of TfL and PCO training experience, and we keep our packages up to date as the assessments change, which is why our current training is built on 2026-format content.
We are based in Greenford, West London, and we also share free lessons on YouTube, so drivers can start learning before they ever book a package. Whether you prefer to learn online or in person, support is available throughout your training.

Assessment 01

The TfL Topographical assessment

The topographical assessment checks that you can read a map and plan a sensible route around London. Our Topographical Packages give you map and route training for the TfL topographical assessment, and our free A-Z London atlas multiple-choice practice helps you learn the streets.

Assessment 02

The TfL SERU assessment

SERU stands for Safety, Equality and Regulatory Understanding. Our SERU Packages let you practise for the SERU assessment in the new TfL format with updated 2026 content, and you can try a full mock SERU exam free of charge first.
No.1 PCO Training prepares you for the assessments; the assessments themselves are set and run by Transport for London. Always check TfL’s own pages for the latest requirements, fees and booking details: TfL topographical assessment and TfL SERU requirement.
